Who funded this?

 It is self funded by a concerned and passionate individual.  With no committees or secret hidden agenda's etc. This site is ad free and noncommercial it costs less than $200 to keep this site up and for the next 10 years and its been prepaid.

How do you find the information that is on this site? 

 3 main ways all of which are free and all info is publicly available if you know where to look.

 1) Google.com well almost everyone uses this site many times a day. 

 2) Newspaper archive tool https://cedarrapids.advantage-preservation.com/   Cedar Rapids Public Library & Gazette as well as a few other groups made over 2 million pages of the Gazette from 1932 till 2021 public for free on the above database. 

3) https://web.archive.org/ tons of websites from all over the world can be found here they go back to 1996 I find the domain name I can probably find that site.

What prompted you to create this site?   

 I took civics classes and journalism when I was in high school and I felt that we needed a site like this in the area. The 3 main real reasons are...

1) The Cedar Rapids Community School District Bond Vote on November 7th 2023. I did not like that they were going to close schools, raise taxes and just the overall way that things were being handled there.

2) Casino in Cedar Rapids. If CR was going to get a Casino they should have voted for one in 2003 before Riverside and many other Casino's opened up in the area. The state has made it very clear time and time again that they will not let CR get a casino but then front man Mr. Gary wont let it go so nor will this site.

3) Collins Aerospace and "Fiscally Conservative" engineers and executives that redistribute taxpayer funds to themselves for "Defense" and then talk about how everyone else is on welfare and doesn't work etc. I grew up with this environment and I'm just really annoyed and sick of it. A lot of really good people  work there too they are the largest employer in the area with a lot of Union Middle Class jobs but I also want to take an objective look at it.
